WKO KlimaPortal introduces a new feature to create a VSME Basic Report
The WKO Climate Portal is a service provided by the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (WKO) for its member companies, with the aim of making sustainability reporting as accessible and low-threshold as possible. Until now, WKO members have been able to use the portal to prepare carbon footprints and calculate a climate indicator.
A significant new enhancement has now been added: on behalf of WKO, akaryon has expanded the Climate Portal with a VSME reporting function. This enables member companies to create VSME Basic Reports directly within the familiar portal environment, alongside their carbon footprint assessments.
Carbon footprint as the foundation, VSME as the logical next step
The VSME functionality has been designed to build seamlessly on an existing carbon footprint assessment. Have you already collected data on energy consumption, mobility, materials, and waste? Then most of the work has already been completed.
Use the carbon footprint as the foundation and add the additional required information, including water, biodiversity, social aspects, and corporate governance. With the click of a button, a VSME Basic Report is generated and made available as a downloadable PDF.
ESG-Portal technology as the backbone of the solution
The WKO Climate Portal was developed by akaryon GmbH, on the initiative of the Salzburg Chamber of Commerce and the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, using ESG Portal technology, which is part of the ESG Cockpit product family. The platform is specifically designed for the collection of data from a large number of users with similar requirements. This makes it particularly well suited to the WKO Climate Portal and its primary target group: small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
The SMEs that are members of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber represent a clearly defined user group whose data structures and reporting obligations are largely comparable. The ESG-Portal technology is an ideal foundation for efficiently supporting sustainability and ESG reporting across the broad range of businesses.
