Wilfinger Hotels: Health tourism with ESG impact – automated management in the ESG Cockpit

September 1, 2026

50 years of expertise in health tourism

The Wilfinger Hotels in Bad Waltersdorf and Hartberg, Styria are true pioneers: For 50 years, health has been a fundamental principle here. This is also reflected in their focus on healthy nutrition – for lunch, for example, only vegetarian dishes are served. This concept, centered around the “Wilfinger Bio Wholefood Vital Cuisine,” provides an excellent foundation for further activities with a lasting impact.

Sustainable pioneers demonstrate their impact in numbers

This is where the ESG-Cockpit by akaryon comes in. Following the on-site kick-off meeting on April 22, 2026, with Hotel Director Nadja Dotzauer, the first data will soon be brought together in the ESG Cockpit for VSME reporting.

Because Wilfinger Hotels stand not only for health and sustainability but are also open to innovation, they are additionally participating as a pilot user in the USEFLEDS research project.

Contributing to the achievement of climate targets beyond the region

At the heart of USEFLEDS (Unleashing Sector-coupling Flexibility by means of an Energy Data Space) is a solution for sharing data across the energy sector. Supported by Alexander Steger of the (Sustainable Development Agency) and akaryon, Wilfinger Hotels are using automated data flows from an Energy Data Space for their ESG management.

Hotel management sees a clear added value: Less effort required to collect data means more time for analyzing it and communicating the results to guests.

We are very much looking forward to this collaboration!
