Commissioning party behind d&b SustainSymphony appointed as European Climate Pact Ambassador

Robert Trebus, Global Director of Sustainability at d&b Group and our commissioning party in the ESG Portal project d&b SustainSymphony, has been appointed as a European Climate Pact Ambassador.
This recognition honors his commitment to the sustainable transformation of the live event industry and the development of sustainability standards for products and technologies in this sector.
Commitment to a sustainable transformation of the event industry
Appointed by the European Commission (Directorate-General for Climate Action), Climate Pact Ambassadors promote climate action and inspire others to get involved. They advocate for solutions to address climate change and connect businesses, diverse communities, and policymakers to strengthen sustainable practices.
Responsibilities of Robert Trebus as a Climate Pact Ambassador:
- Raising awareness: Engaging industry stakeholders in the climate action movement
- Inspiration & implementation support: Helping event organizers, venues, and suppliers implement the EU Taxonomy, improve energy efficiency, and integrate circular design
- Role model: Integrating low-carbon event technologies and aligning with new sustainability standards in own operations
- Building connections: Bridging the gap between stakeholders—civil society, major industry players, and policymakers—to develop innovative solutions
d&b SustainSymphony as a catalyst for change
We are excited to play a key role in this sustainable transformation with the jointly developed d&b SustainSymphony, a carbon accounting tool for the event industry.
The SustainSymphony connects event stakeholders for the joint collection of emissions data, defining climate goals, and implementing shared strategies and projects. All stages of the supply chain are considered.
